Machine Upgrades

Our engineers undertake both complete and partial upgrades of wire drawing equipment.

We have the most experience with upgrades of Winget Syncro and Babcock Wire machines but can offer a similar service for a range of other makes of equipment.

Upgrades typically comprise:

  • New electrical control systems

  • New winder control systems

  • Separate drive on draw off capstan

  • Replacing pull blocks with ceramic

  • New traverse systems on spoolers

  • Improved liquor systems

Service & Refurbishment

We firmly believe that correct maintenance using genuine spare parts, combined with occasional upgrades or refurbishment by Winget Syncro will extend the effective life of machinery. The benefits of refurbishment over new machines are :

  • Less cost than new

  • Much quicker delivery time

  • Operators used to machinery

  • Little or no foundation costs

The benefits of refurbishment over second hand machines are:

  • Known service history

  • Little or no foundation costs

  • Much less risk

There are also many advantages in upgrades where current technology can enhance the productivity of old machines.
