The names Winget Syncro and Babcock Wire have been closely associated with the non-ferrous wire drawing industry for over 60 years.

Winget Syncro started making wire drawing machinery in 1948, based on an agreement with Syncro machines in the USA. Over the following years thousands of wire drawing machines were supplied worldwide, many of which are still in use today.

As part of the Babcock group in the 1970s Winget Syncro expanded and were associated with B&F Carter and Hanson & Edwards to provide a complete range of wire drawing and rotating machinery.

A complete service from rod breakdown to cable extrusion is now offered with proven technology from one source.

Many of the machines supplied over the past 50 years are still in useful production. Our spares and service department is active in supplying consumables, replacement parts and refurbishment work. Such was the build quality of these machines that upgrades and refurbishments are extremely economical, when compared with new and second hand equipment.

As the availability of quality used machines lessens we are being asked to provide new wire drawing machinery. This is mainly in the field of rod breakdown, where we can offer our designs upgraded to take advantage of current machine manufacturing technology. The result is a proven design at a reasonable cost.
